Hubungan Diabetes Melitus terhadap Tingkat Keparahan Ulkus Kornea Infeksius di Gorontalo: Studi Cross-Sectional

Ulkus kornea infeksius menjadi penyebab utama gangguan penglihatan di Gorontalo, diperburuk oleh diabetes melitus (DM) melalui keratopati diabetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan kadar glukosa darah sewaktu (GDS) tidak terkontrol dengan keparahan ulkus kornea infeksius. Studi cross-sectional analitik menggunakan data rekam medis 30 pasien rawat jalan di RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe dan RSUD dr. Hasri Ainun Habibie (Januari 2023-Desember 2024) dengan total sampling. Instrumen berupa lembar ekstraksi data terstruktur; analisis menggunakan uji Fisher-Freeman-Halton Exact dan regresi logistik (SPSS 31.0). Sebanyak 66,7% pasien memiliki GDS ≥200 mg/dL; ulkus mayoritas sedang (46,7%) dan berat (33,3%). Terdapat hubungan signifikan GDS dengan keparahan ulkus (p=0,014; OR=7,364). Kesimpulan: DM tidak terkontrol meningkatkan risiko ulkus kornea berat 7,364 kali, menegaskan perlunya kontrol glikemik ketat dan skrining mata rutin.
